CVM을 이용한 항공기 기내안전수요의 가치평가 : 위험감수성향 및 조절초점을 중심으로

As the growth of the aviation industry is increasing, the importance of in-flight safety has been emphasized more than ever. Therefore, this study analyzed the determinants of in-flight safety demand using CVM. Based on a review of the literature, the concept of aircraft safety and illegal in-flight behavior was established. Psychological tendency of customers was suggested to focus on risk-taking tendency, risk-avoidance tendency, promotion focus, and preventive focus. In addition, a virtual market was set up for the conditional valuation method, and a questionnaire was prepared, and the proposed amount was set through a preliminary survey. After collecting 541 samples for empirical analysis, basic analysis was performed using SPSS 24.0, and a logit model was applied and analyzed using LIMDEP 8.0 to solve the research task. As a result of the study, the risk avoidance tendency and the promotion focus were positively affected. Also, among the demographic factors, it was found that women and younger respondents were more willing to pay. As a result of the value estimation, the average result was 153,360 Korean won in the 95% confidence range. In other words, when purchasing a one million Korean won airline ticket, it was indicated that they would pay an additional average of 153,367 won when boarding with a professional flight attendant for in-flight safety security. The analysis results of this study show the necessity for the expansion of various programs and plans of airlines for in-flight safety by analyzing customers’ demand for aviation safety programs. In addition, since factors influencing the willingness to pay more for airline tickets ensuring aviation safety are different, it seems necessary to establish detailed marketing for each factor. Also, it is suggested to clearly communicate and promote various information related to flying with a professional cabin crew for in-flight safety.
