스마트폰 모바일 앱을 이용한 범죄예방에 관한 연구 = A Study on Crime Prevention by Using Anti-crime Smartphone Apps

As smartphones are getting popular rapidly, various contents of smartphone applications for better quality of life are developed. Anticrime contents of smartphone apps, which is a kind of method to prevent crime and relieve fear of crime, is increasing as well.
In this survey we study and categorize numbers of korean and foreign anticrime smartphone app contents as a tool for crime prevention, analyze the characteristics of each categories, and propose the direction of developing anticrime app contents in Korea.
Mostly, current anticrime app contents are focused on self defense of potential victims, so various contents which contains several categories totally and can affect both anticrime environment and potential criminals needs to be developed. For developing integational and systematic anticrime apps, 3 major factors are needed; 1) interconnection among anticrime contents categories, 2) legal and administrational support and establishment of exclusive organization, 3) various contents for enhancing interest and participation of users.
