파키스탄의 농업현황 = Agriculture of Pakistan and International Cooperation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

1. 파키스탄은 面積 805천 ㎢, 인구 104, 960천명 ('87)의 회교국으로서 아리안족이 대부분이며 다양한 언어체계(국어-우루드, 공용어-영어, 통용어-푼잡어, 신디어, 페루스투어, 발루치어등 다수)를 가지고 있다.
2. 熱帶乾燥氣候에 속하는 파키스탄은 북부 일부지방을 제외하면 降水量이 대부분 600㎜이하이기 때문에 農耕地가 국토의 26.8%인 20,700천㏊에 지나지 않는다.
3. 파키스탄농업은 인더스강 流域을 중심으로 발달되었으며 기후와 토양특성을 고려한 作物環境帶는 11개의 相異한 지대로 대별되며 主要作物은 벼, 밀, 면화, 사탕수수, 수수등이다.
4. 파키스탄 농업은 國民總生産의 27%, 총인구의 54%, 총수출액의 30%, 총수입액의 21%를 점하고 있으며 最近 3년간의 농업 신장율은 전체 경제성장율 7%에 미달된 5.9%였다.
5. 灌漑依存度가 큰 파키스탄에는 크고 작은 많은 댐과 64,000㎞의 canal, 89,000개의 水路가 造成되어 있고 總耕地面積의 77.5%에 해당하는 16백만 ㏊가 관개의 혜택을 받고 있다.
6. 파키스탄은 對外關係는 정치적으로 中立 등거리 외교를 표방하고 있으나 경제적 협력관계는 미국, 일본, 중공 등에 偏重되어 있다.
7. 파키스탄은 한국의 農業技術移轉이 절실히 요구되는 농업기술 후진국이며 현재 한국인으로서는 蠶業專門家 1명, 灌漑專門家 2명이 UN 또는 IBRD의 후원으로 일하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In order to provide brief information for persons who is going to work in Pakistan as agricultural experts or engineers, socio-economical and agricultural conditions of Pakistan were reviewed through references and author's opinions were also commented on the basis of his field experience in Pakistan. Agricultural conditions in Pakistans quite inferior to those of Korea. Therefore, it is concluded that Korean agre technical assistance to Pakistan will be greately helpful and necessary for the improvement of Pakistan agriculture.
