여성장애인의 건강권 = The Right to Health of Disabled Women : A Case Study

국문 초록 (Abstract)

고령화 사회가 진행되는 과정에서 최근 증가추세를 보이는 장애인은 건강형평성 문제가 제기되는 인구취약집단에 해당된다. 본 연구는 여성장애인의 건강권 확보방안을 모색하기 위하여 정책 대상에서 주변적 위치를 차지해 온 여성장애인의 건강에 초점을 맞추고자 하였다. 특히 여성장애인이 경험하는 건강의 의미 및 건강이 놓인 맥락 등을 젠더관점에서 파악하기 위해 수도권에 거주하는 30-50대 여성장애인 9명을 대상으로 심층면접을 하였다. 여성장애인의 건강권 실현은 건강 영역 뿐 아니라 삶 전반에 걸쳐 주체가 될 수 있을 때 그리고 여성장애인들의 욕구를 반영하고 충족시켜 줄 수 있는 정책적 기반이 마련될 때 비로소 가능하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper seeks to analyze the health issues of a disabled population group. Recently, health issues of disabled people have been attracting attention as a result of an aging society. People with disabilities are a vulnerable sector of the population, for whom health equity issues have been raised. This paper examines the relationship between disability and health, the subjective significance and interpretation of health, and factors that determine the health status of disabled women. A qualitative research method was used, the findings of which indicate that women with disabilities can only achieve their right to health when they are enabled to take control of their life, including their health. Based on these results, a policy foundation is proposed that reflects and satisfies the particular needs of this group.
