사회경제적 특성이 관광수요와 편익에 미치는 영향 = The impact of socioeconomic characteristics on tourism demand and benefits

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study constructed tourism demand model considering socioeconomic characteristics and quantitatively analyzed consumer surplus (economic value) according to tourist characteristics. Poisson regression model is commonly used when the count variable such as the number of sightseeing is a dependent variable. Because the target of the analysis is tourists, the truncated Poisson regression model was used in view of the fact that the number of sightseeing is greater than zero. The analysis shows that the truncated Poisson model has more predictive power than the Poisson model. Socioeconomic characteristics (income level, tourism cost, age difference, family members, marital status, gender difference, etc.) had a significant impact on tourism demand. The consumer surplus that tourists get from one trip is around 609,756 won. Estimating the tourism demand of the Korean people considering the socioeconomic characteristics and analyzing the difference of the benefit according to the difference of the socioeconomic characteristics will provide useful information for forecasting the tourism demand, planning the tourism development plan and making the decision.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 사회경제적 특성을 고려한 관광수요모형을 구축하고 개별 특성의 차이에 따른 소비자잉여(경제적 가치)의 차이를 정량적으로 분석하였다. 종속변수가 관광횟수로 가산자료이고 분석의 대상이 관광객이므로 관광횟수는 0보다 크다는 점을 고려하여 절단된 포아송 모형(Truncated Poisson Model)이 사용되었다. 분석에 사용된 자료는 문화관광연구원의 2015년 국민여행실태조사이다. 분석결과 자료의 특성을 적절하게 반영하는 절단된 포아송 모형이 통상적인 포아송 모형보다 예측력이 뛰어난 것으로 나타났다. 사회경제적 특성(소득수준, 관광비용, 나이의 차이, 가구구성원, 결혼상태, 성별 차이 등)은 관광수요에 유의한 영향을 미치고, 개별 특성의 차이에 따라 관광의 가치가 다른 것으로 나타났다. 관광객들이 1회 관광으로부터 얻게 되는 소비자잉여는 609,756원 정도였다. 사회경제적 특성을 고려한 우리나라 국민의 관광수요를 추정하고, 사회경제적 특성의 차이에 따른 편익의 차이를 분석하는 것은 관광수요 예측, 관광산업 발전 계획수립 및 의사결정에 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
