This experiment was one of series studies on the utilization of shrubs and grasses from shrubby land for the development of ruminant feed efficiently. Therefore, it was carried out to know the dry matter digestibility of some plants in rumen of dairy goat by nylon bag technique.
And the result was summarized as follows.
1. The dry matter digestibility for 24 hrs were average 31.09 % for leaves and twigs of shrubs and tree, and 27.03 % for grasses.
2. The dry matter digestibility of shrubs and tree was not changed much by advanced harvested months(regression equation, Y = 31.78-0.06X), but that of grasses was decreased significantly(Y= 43.36-3.33X).
3. The contents of crude fiber, nitrogen free extract and crude ash in residues of digestion were much lower compared by index with those of raw samples.
