지역 개발에 있어서의 박람회의 역할에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Roles of Exhibition at Community Development

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

At the era of local government, industrial systems were reorganized to establish information system, internationalization, making soft of economic society and service system, etc to demand new values of community development owing to changes and flow of new times. Not only the hardware of production and function-centered community development in the past but also all of the softwares concerning citizens' consciousness, culture, information, administration and environment, etc were demanded to switch them. Such a social demand required large-scaled events to reform community structure and to expand urban infrastructure and to play an important role in community development in accordance with community characteristics.In particular, in the 1970's, local fairs were held in Japan that were traditional centers of heavy industries, and they reorganized regional industry structures to preserve and make use of community features and to reflect interest in community environment as well as the nature and other flows of the times and to take the lead in successful community development. The paper investigated roles of local fairs at the community development by using cases.Since the 1990's, local government system was introduced to open 'the era of local government' in Korea: The paper suggested models of local fairs that were not only government authorities' festivals but also connections with community development from macro point of view to contribute to set up directions of community fair.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

지방화시대와 함께 시작된 정보화, 국제화, 경제사회의 소프트화, 서비스화 등과 같은 산업구조의 개편은 새로운 시대의 변화와 흐름으로 지역개발에 있어서도 새로운 가치관을 요구하게 되었다. 이것은 기존의 생산과 기능위주의 하드웨어적인 지역개발에서 시민들의 의식, 문화, 정보, 행정, 그리고 환경에 이르기까지 소프트 분야의 전반의 전환이 요구되고 있다. 이러한 사회적 요구에 박람회는 대규모 이벤트로써 지역구조의 개혁과 함께 도시기반 시설의 확충을 마련하고 지역의 특성에 따른 지역개발에 큰 역할을 하고 있다. 1970년대 이후, 일본은 세계박람회를 비롯한 크고 작은 지방박람회를 개최하면서 전통적인 지역 산업구조 개편과 함께 지역다움을 활용하고 보존하면서 지역 환경과 자연에 대한 관심 등 시대의 흐름을 반영한 지역개발을 성공적으로 이끄는 견인차 역할을 하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 이러한 지역개발에 있어서 박람회의 역할을 사레를 통하여 분석하고 있다.이는 1990년대 이후, 지방자치제 실시에 의해 본격적인 ‘지방화 시대’를 맞이한 우리나라의 지방박람회가 행정자치제만의 축제로 끝나버리지 않고 보다 거시적인 안목에서 지역개발과 연계할 수 있는 박람회로서 하나의 모델을 제시하고, 지역다운 박람회의 방향설정에 기여하리라 기대할 수 있기 때문이다.
