Russia is a country of long winters and cold weather. Vodka was an indispensable drink for Russians in cold winter. However, due to excessive alcoholic harm, social ills began to appear. To solve these problems, they began to import tea, and it turned into a unique Russian tea culture, which today made Russia the largest consumer of tea in the world. This work is devoted to the features of the tea industry in Russia. Tea is one of the most common drinks among the peoples inhabiting our planet. Currently, more than 20 countries of the world are engaged in tea production: India, China, Sri Lanka (Ceylon), Japan, Indonesia, etc. The relevance of the chosen topic is that tea is the most widespread drink in Russia, the demand for tea is very high and stable. In recent years, the number of tea importers to Russia has increased significantly. and many of the new importers are not supplying good quality tea. There are big problems with the authenticity of tea consumed by the population. Therefore, it is necessary to assess the quality of the tea. The purpose of this work is to characterize and consider the features of the tea industry in Russia.
