『禪關策進』의 修行觀에 대하여 = Thought of C"hanguan Cejin‘s Practi

  C"hanguan Cejin(『禪關策進』) was published in “Sin-Jong(神宗;1563-1620)” Man-ryuk(萬曆;1528~) 28 year(ca. 1600), the era of Ming Dynasty, by Woonchu Jookweung (orWoonchu Joohong; 雲棲？宏;ca.1535-1615) a Seon master(禪師).<BR>  But the book has not been circulated untill 1960, when the Seon practicers of Bum-o temple ’s Seon-center(梵魚寺禪院) adopted C"hanguan Cejin as main text.<BR>  The most important practice methods of Korean Buddhism are Hwadu(話頭) and Ganhwaseon(看話禪), but all the people who want to study Buddhism are not high potential ability, so a method to educate middle and low potential ability was needed.<BR>  In that point of view, C’hanguan Cejin is an important thesis for Seon practicers, which leads Seon practicers to get Buddhahood as the Koan (公案;who is person of Recollection Buddha). C’hanguan Cejin is a guide book that leads middle and low potential ability to get buddhahood in the point of harmony Practice between Seon(禪;C"han) and the Pure Land Buddhism and acoording to the end of Ming Dynasty.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

  선관책진은 명나라 신종 만력28년(서력 1600년) 선사 운서주굉에 의해 편집되었다. 국내에서 선관책진이 널리 유통되기 시작한 것은 범어사 선원에서 주요교재로 이를 채택한 1960년 이후이다. 한국불교의 가장 중요한 수행은 화두와 간화선인데 이는 상근기에 적합한 수행으로 중하근기를 위한 수행법이 따로 필요하다고 생각된다.<BR>  이런 점에서 선관책진은 공안을 통해 불성을 얻으려는 선수행자의 지침으로 매우 중요하다. 또한 선관책진은 중하근기의 수행자가 선과정토불교의 수행을 통하여 불성을 획득하는데 큰 도움을 주는 지도서이다. 본 논문은 이 책이 비록 명말의 저서라 하나 현대한국불교의 수행에도 시준하는 점이 많다고 판단하여 이에 대한 연구를 시도한 것이다.<BR>  특히 공안선과 화두선의 관계, 간화선수행과 염불선수행의 관계에 대한 선관책진의 입장을 주로 하여 연구하였다.
