The purpose of this study is to examine the difference of worker`s value orientation and their organizational commitment to both regular and contingent workers in hotels. The samples used for data analysis are 229 front office workers in eleven hotels including 130 regular workers and 99 contingent workers. The results of this study are summarized as followings. First, regular worker`s organizational commitment showed greater than those of contingent workers. This result suggest that the regular workers has highly organizational commitment compared with contingent workers. In this study, organizational commitment is classified into three factors that built on the work of Meyer and Allen(1991). The three factors are affective, continuance, and normative commitment. Second, worker`s individualism has an negative effect on the organizational commitment regardless of regular and contingent workers. On the contrary, worker`s collectivism has an positive effect on the organizational commitment. This result suggest that collectivism value orientation may be beneficial to enhance hotel worker`s commitment.
