      In this study, the wet surface heat transfer coefficients and friction factor of waffle type heat exchangers are presented. Three samples with different fin pitch(2.02mm, 1.97mm, 1.90mm) tested. Tests were conducted in a open loop wind tunnel. The wet surface heat transfer coefficient was reduced following the procedure given in ARI 410-81. Results showed that the heat transfer coefficients of the heat exchanger with 2.02mm fin pitch were slighly lower than those with 1.97mm and 1.90mm fin pitch. The heat transfer coefficients of the heat exchanger with 1.97mm fin pitch were approximately the same as those with 1.90mm fin pitch. The effect of refrigerant circuit was also investigated. Results show that the effect of the refrigerant circuit on the wet surface performance is not significant.
