무정부주의적 관점에서 본 돈키호테 = Donquijote from an Anarchistic Perspective

Characteristics of anarchism can be found in many aspects of Donquijote. This suggests that Cervantes thought the ideal society had to be based on what are now recognized as the firm tenets of anarchism. This study aims to investigate the anarchist thoughts from two perspectives: the relationship between the individual and society, and the relationship between the individual and religion. The first perspective involves analyzing statements related to anarchism caused by an anti-state ideology: attitudes that convey an antiestablishment perspective and a desire for a better life characterized by equality, brotherhood, peace, justice, and human perfection. The goal of this ideology is to achieve the greatest degree of happiness for our species. The second perspective recognizes that the longings for justice, equality, and peace are found not only in anarchist standards but also in religious ideas. Although anarchism carries in its essence anti-authoritarianism and anti-clericalism, during Cervantes`` time, nothing escaped the influence of religious ideas. In conclusion, we can see that Cervantes`` anarchist desires and dreams have degenerated into a mere utopia of evasion, because his adventurer goes from one failure to another and Sancho``s government is ineffective. However, the author``s model of the dream society has survived and inspired successful antiestablishment reformers today in cities such as Mondragon and Marinaleda in Spain.
