『전해야할 이야기들』의 주제와 양식의 상응성 = The Correspondence of Theme and Style of Historias para ser contadas

This study investigates the correspondence of theme and style of Osvaldo Dragun’s Historias para ser contadas. In this play Osvaldo Dragun discloses the hypocrisy and violence of the inhumane capitalism industry society. The themes of Historias para ser contadas are social collapse, dehumanization, mammonism, indifference about others, poverty, relation of economy and ethical choice, relationship with others, loss of human pride, etc. But the importance of this work is not these themes of exposing the contradictions in modern society. Because this kind of messages is not new nor original. In this work the more important thing is that Dragun represents these themes through the new experimental styles of the modern theatre, for example, the effect of medieval epics, the techniques of theatre of the absurd, the grotesque techniques like animalization of human being or humanization of animal, the epic theatre’s techniques like appearance of narrator, use of suggestive music, differentiation of actors and characters, destruction of fantasy, etc. In this point of view Osvaldo Dragun’s Historias para ser contadas shows audience the derivative themes with the new and original techniques of theatre.
