악기연주 활동을 통한 시설청소년의 사회적기술에 대한 효과 연구 = A Study on the Influence of the Social Skills through the musical instrument play of Institutionalized Adolescents

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The objective of the study is to examine how playing musical instruments affects the social skills of adolescents living in care institutions. For this purpose, the adolescents were asked to engage in musical activities, using instruments that are easily accessible at regular schools, as a way of emotional expression in consideration of the psychological, emotional and social changes that the institutionalized adolescents go through. The research examined whether playing musical instruments had any influence on the adolescents’ social skills in terms of leadership, diligence, sociability and law-abiding spirit. Nineteen adolescents at H Welfare Institute, located in city of Gwangju, were chosen to take a social skills test. The instrument-playing program included song sand tunes from a music textbook for first-year highschool students. The program operated for four months ,and then the participants took the same social skills test for post-evaluation.
The analysis result showed that the adolescents in the experiment group showed significant improvement in social skills compared to the control group. In comparing scores of the pre- and post- tests, it was observed that significant improvement was made in all four categories of leadership, diligence, sociability and law-abiding spirit.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 악기연주 활동이 시설청소년들의 사회적기술 향상에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 실시하였다. 이를 위하여 교육환경을 중심으로 심리적, 정서적, 사회적인 변화를 고려하여 다양한 감정을 표출 할 수 있는 방법으로 일반학교에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 악기들을 이용하여 연주활동의 기회를 제공하고, 사회적 기술(지도력, 근면성, 사교성, 준법성)에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 참여자는 광주광역시 소재 H복지원 19명의 학생들이며, 이들을 대상으로 사회적기술 검사를 실시하였다. 악기연주 활동 프로그램은 음악교과서에 수록된 곡을 중심으로 구성하여, 12회기를 실시한 후 사전검사와 동일한 사회적기술에 대한 척도검사를 통하여 사후검사를 실시하였다.
연구결과 악기연주 활동에 참여한 실험집단이 통제집단에 비해 사회적기술 점수에 유의미한 향상을 나타냈다. 또한 실험집단 내의 사전ㆍ사후 점수가 지도력, 근면성, 사교성, 준법성에 있어서도 유의한 차이를 나타냈다.
