대만의 고등학교 四書교육 연구 -중화문화기본교재 를 중심으로- = Study on Taiwanese Highschool`s Four Books Education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Taiwanese government has been including the Four Books(四書) in the Basic Readings in Culture of China(中國文化基本?材) as a compulsory subject of the primary language curriculum ever since 1962. Since 2000s, when the Democratic Progressive Party(民進黨) took over the Kuomin- tang(國民黨), the subject titled changed from the Basic Readings in Culture of China to the Analects of Confucius and Mencius(論孟選讀) and the compulsory subject was made elective. The subject lost its importance during this time. However, when the Kuomintang took over again in 2008, the title changed again from the Analects of Confucius and Mencius to the Basic Readings in Chinese Culture(中華文化基本?材). Centering on the Basic Readings in Chinese Culture, which is used to teach The Four Books in Taiwanese highschool, this paper examines 1) transformation of curriculum and 2) real example of Confucian scriptures education in East Asia by going over current curriculum and educational guidance. By such examination, the paper explores future direction of Confucian Classics and Chinese character education that is provided on a national level to build student`s character in Korea.
