국내 보조공학 연구동향 분석 : 1998~2008년 특수교육 및 재활 관련 학술지 중심으로 = An Analysis of the Research Trends on the Assistive Technology in Korea : Focused on Journals in Related to Special Education and Rehabilitation from 1998 to 2008

The purpose of this study was to analyze research trends and to suggest future research directions in assistive technology. For this, 133 articles were selected from fourteen journals in related to special education and rehabilitation from 1998 to 2008. The 133 articles were analyzed in terms of topics of research, methodology of research, subjects of research, and areas of assistive technology devices and services.
The findings indicated that assistive technology research efforts seemed to be concentrated in specific area such as AAC, CAI, and ICT. Based on this findings, necessity of more clinical intervention study was suggested, also an interdisciplinary approach was emphasized.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 1998년부터 2008년까지의 국내 보조공학 관련 연구들을 종합 분석하여 지금까지의 연구동향을 파악하고 향후 연구방향에 대한 시사점을 탐색하고자 실시하였다. 이를 위해 2008년 현재 한국학술진흥재단 등재 또는 등재후보 학술지 중 특수교육 및 재활 관련 학술지 총 14종, 133편의 논문을 선정하여 분석하였다. 연구주제, 연구방법, 연구대상, 그리고 보조공학 장치 및 서비스 세부 분야 등의 4개 부분으로 분석한 결과, 연구주제는 전반적으로 보조공학에 대한 개념정의와 소개, 실태를 파악하고 법적, 제도적 필요성을 강조하는 서설적 수준에서 크게 벗어나지 못하고 있었고 임상중재에 따른 효과 검증이나 사용자의 만족도와 삶의 질을 평가하는 실용적 중재방안에 대한 연구가 더디게 진행되고 있었다. 연구방법의 분석 결과에서도 문헌연구가 가장 많은 비중을 차지하는 것으로 나타나 이를 반증하고 있다. 연구대상은 다양한 장애 유형의 장애인 당사자를 대상으로 하는 연구가 많았지만 보조공학 서비스 팀의 중요한 일원으로 판단되는 보호자 및 가족구성원을 대상으로 한 연구는 저조한 편이었다. 보조공학 세부 분야에 따른 분석 결과는 보완대체의사소통과 컴퓨터 보조교수 및 ICT와 같은 특정 분야에 연구가 집중되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과들을 바탕으로 향후 다양한 대상과 분야의 보조공학 임상적용을 다룬 중재연구의 확대와 학제간 연구의 필요성 등의 연구방향을 제시하였다.
