Amorphous Polyetheretherketone(PEEK) films were isothermally annealed in the mould for 3.5 and 17.0 hours at various temperatures from glass transition temperature(Tg) to cold crystallization temperature of the PEEK. The degree of crystallization of annealed PEEK films were measured using density gradient technique. DSC was used to analyze the annealed samples.
The crystallization of the annealed PEEK films were developed at above 156℃ for 3.5 hours and at above 152℃ for 17.0 hours. The exothermic peak (cold crystallization) of annealed PEEK films were produced at below 152℃ for 3.5 hours and at below 150℃ for 17.0 hours in DSC heating scan.
