1930년대 소련 사회주의 리얼리즘과 영화의 역사적 배경에 관한 고찰 = A Study on the Soviet Socialist Realism and the Historical Background of the Film in the 1930s

국문 초록 (Abstract)

사회주의 리얼리즘은 ‘사회주의’와 ‘리얼리즘’이 결합된 형태로서 이 둘의 개념을 모두 포함하고 있다. 그런데 이러한 개념들이 그대로 수용되는 것이 아니라, 1920, 30년대 소련의 정치, 사회적 상황과 맞물려 특정한 방향으로 적용되었다는 데 그 특징이 있다고 하겠다.
사회주의 리얼리즘에 있어 국가권력의 정책기조, 국가권력과 문학, 예술과의 관계, 러시아 문화의 전통적 요소가 상당히 중요하기 때문에, 사회주의 리얼리즘에 대해 정확히 파악하기 위해서는 그것이 생성, 채택되게 된 당시 소련의 정치, 사회적, 문화적 배경에 대한 종합적 이해가 선행되어야 한다. 이에, 이글에서는 사회주의 리얼리즘에 대한 전반적인 내용을 살피고, 이러한 내용들이 1930년대 소련영화에 구체적으로 어떠한 모습으로 나타나고 있는지를 분석하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Socialist realism is a combination of socialism and realism which contains the two concepts. It is characterized by the fact that such concepts were not accepted as these were to the films and that rather the concepts were applied to the films in a certain direction along with or intertwined with political and social situations of the Soviet Union in the 1920s and 1930s.
In socialist realism, state policy, the relationship between political power and literature and art, and traditional elements of Russian culture are relatively important. Therefore, it is a prerequisite to understand comprehensively socio- political and cultural background of its origin and adoption for accurate apprehension of socialist realism. In this context, this study reviews socialist realism overall. Based on the review result, it also analyzes in depth how specifically it was realized in the Soviet films of the 1930s.
