한국 육상 활성화를 위한 정책방안 = Policy alternatives for Athletics development in Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this research is to present athletics development action plan on the basis of status and problem of existing athletics. Research result are as follow. First, Athletics is basic event to have fundamental integrant of all sports event and activate conversion on other event. Therefore, Athletics was to right educated at all people for its own erection walking and need to support of government because of transition on other event and hang on most medal number at olympics. Athletics of korea today is widening performance gap between korea and world, lacking concern of the public on athletics and the pool of athletics, unsystematic identification of athletics talent and poor of excellent athletics coach nurture, lacking of international exchange experience and diplomacy capability for global competitive power of athletics in korea. For settlement this problem, Korea Athletic Federation need to scientific selection and systematic training of athletics dream team for best performance in the short term. Also the ministry of culture and tourism need to fully institutional and financial support for representative athlete and winners in 2011 Daegu IAAF world championships in athletics. In the mid and long term, government need to promote public publicity for strengthening attractiveness of athletics and increase school sports and athletics camp for expanding athletics pool. Also, government need to construct indoor athletics stadium and nurture excellent athletics coach. And government need to drive athletics globalization for leading international athletics world through extending Korean executive at IAAF and strengthening inter-national exchange agreement.
