    This paper is to explore how the right-wing educational policies have changed the teaching profession by using the conceptions of Emile Durkheim, mechanical and organic solidarity. After launching the right-wing education reforms, the teaching profession has changed from organic to mechanical solidarity related to the explicit, tightly-coupled and the visible evaluation. As a result, the teaching profession has become more homogeneous, supervised and normalized because of accountability and performance management. In this respect, the teaching profession may be characterized as the mechanic solidarity in the era of the right-wing policies.

    This paper is to explore how the right-wing educational policies have changed the teaching profession by using the conceptions of Emile Durkheim, mechanical and organic solidarity.
