The angulation dependence of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) frequencies for nuclear spin 7/2 system was obtained as a function of the nuclear quadrupole coupling constant (e²qQ/h) and asymmetry parameter (η) in the three crystallographic ab-, bc-, and ca-planes The nuclear quadrupole interactions of nuclei in host crystal are included in the Hamiltonian for the calculation of nuclear magnetic resonance frequencies Different e²qQ/h and η give different angular dependence of resonance frequencies of nuclei. The more frequency splittings between the transitions, the larger quadrupole coupling constant you obtain. The calculation results are very helpful to analyze the experimental data of nuclear quadrupole resonance of nuclei in the host crystal.
