The French classification for child and adolescent mental disorders has been studied since 1987. It is regularly reactualized and updated, and the 4th version is published in 2001. The French classification is inspired by the psychodynamics and in a multidimensional approach of the psychiatry. It objects a procedure which is relied only on the symptomatic and behavioral aspects. It is based rather on a clinical and psychopathological approach which is opened with the dynamic prospects including an appreciation of the evolutionary potentialities and risks. So this classification could clarify the mobility or the fixity of the disorders and the nature of the risks which is incurred with the entry into the adolescence and then the adulthood. The characteristic of the new version is that, as long as the adolescence is concerned, several new categories are introduced in the category "Autism and Psychosis", and concerning the very youth, the "axis I Baby" is created.
