Wandang Kim, Jeong Hee(1786-1856) was born in 10th year of King Jungjo and had been very active during first half of 19th century when new trend of teaming was demanded in the wake of increasingly felt ill effect of Sung Confucianism in Chosun Dynasty at that time.
He left numerous paintings of oriental orchids in Chinese ink and was also outstanding in his knowledge of Confucianism, Epigraphy, astronomy and Buddhistic learning.
His Buddhist chinese poetry have a important significance from the view point of 'investigation of Buddhistic learining', 'association with buddhist priests' and especially 'stage of non-discrimination[無別]',
Anyway, He had eruditeness on Buddhist tenet as named of 'Yumageosa in Chosen Dynasty'. Based on these knowledge, he made a perfect mixture to purity of literature and Buddhist tenet. Therefore we call his poetry 'Buddhist chinese poetry[佛敎漢詩]'.
