중세 메이크업과 헤어스타일에 관한 연구 = A Study on The Makeup and The Hair Style in The Middle Ages

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Firstly, the world view as the whole idea arose from the social and cultural background in the middle ages had influence on the makeup and hair style of the period.<br/>
Secondly, as the character of the medieval makeup had a preference for a white and a pale skin as a sheet and a broad forehead, the extracting eyebrow was in fashion. The color for makeup was only red for lips and cheeks.<br/>
As the character of hair style was rooted in Christianity and Hebraism, they put on their turban in order to cover their hair. The law of Christianity put the taboo on haircutting.<br/>
Third, in the analysis on the types of makeup and hair style applied the medieval image, I produced the whole image through a black fashion and a smoky makeup as the grotesque, by applying the modern sense.<br/>
Fourthly, I produced four works based on the analyzed data. And then I applied the dark and the powerful image in the middle ages through the smoky makeup to the work 1 and the work 2 and the hair style and the makeup based on contemporary sense to the work 3, by emphasizing a natural beauty without an artificial beauty. The theme of work 4 was the image of sanctuary in Gothic architecture with pinnacles and stained glass windows, by designing the head dress based on the medieval motif and the modern sense. Namely the work 4 was made up the medieval image and the modern sense, by designing the shoulder and the arm of the dress as the materials of wool and beads.
