청소년의 충동성과 신체적 자기개념, 정서지능 및 공감능력 = The Relations among Physical Self-concept, Emotional Intelligence, Empathic Ability and Impulsivity of Adolescents

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 청소년의 충동성과 신체적 자기개념, 정서지능 및 공감능력의 관계를 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사 연구이다. 연구 대상자는 ‘학생 정서․행동발달 선별검사’ 사업의 일환으로 학교단위에서 조사한 검사 결과 관심군으로 분류되어 심층 정신건강검진을 위해 구 단위 지역의 정신보건센터 4개 기관을 방문한 청소년(중학생, 고등학생 1, 2, 3학년 포함) 228명이다. 자료수집 기간은 2012년 8월 12일부터 2012년 10월 30일까지였다. 연구변수간의 관계는 Pearson의 상관계수로 분석하였고, 충동성에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 신체적 자기개념, 정서지능, 공감능력을 설명변수로 투입하여 단계적 다중회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과 대상자의 충동성은 평균 57.30점이었고, 충동성은 외모, 자기존중감과 자기정서, 정서조절, 정서활용, 공감능력에서 인지요소, 공감적 관심과 유의한 부적상관을 보였다. 충동성의 유의한 예측변인으로 정서활용, 공감적 관심, 타인정서가 확인되었고, 이들 변인이 충동성의 30.2%를 설명하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 청소년의 충동성에 영향을 주는 예측변인으로 정서활용, 공감적 관심, 타인정서를 확인하였고, 이런 결과는 향후 청소년의 충동성관련 문제 개입 방안에 중요한 근거자료의 토대가 될 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to identify factors which predict impulsivity in adolescents. A total of 228 adolescents who have visited four community mental health centers in D city. Impulsiveness was assessed using the Barratt impulsiveness scale-11 (BIS-11). Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression analysis with SPSS/WIN 18.0. Average score of impulsivity was 57.30. There was a negative correlation between impulsivity and appearance, self-esteem, self-emotion, regulation of emotion, uses of emotion, perspective-taking, empathic concern. Uses of emotion, other's emotion, empathic concern were identified as determinants of impulsivity which explained 30.2% of total variance of impulsivity. The findings provide empirical evidence to help nurses prepare effective interventions related with impulsivity.
