This paper discusses about the present and problem of geography subject in 2015 national curriculum for social studies. Education is a process and a practice to do for training human. It is curriculum that contain contents of this process and practice. Changes in national curriculum subject contents as well as the contents of the basic direction of education, and teaching and learning have an effect on the teacher training and college admissions. These circumstances are the result of deficiency of recognition on the importance of geography subject. Also, there are many cases that was not rational and theoretical as national curriculum involves epistemological and political tension. This study` purpose is to examine how to change the response and identity of geography subject in the process of negotiation of 2015 national curriculum reform, also should provide a foundation for the qualitative increase of future geography curriculum and accepting new accomplishment of geography.
