This paper is concerned with learner's errors that play an imporpant role in foreign language teaching and learing. First, it briefly touches on error interproeation and evaluation from a historical contrastive perspective on the base of audiolingual approach to learner's errors. Second, it discusses causes and types of foreign language learner's errors and illustrates some error types by giving English examples. Finally, it deals with challenging questions concerning whither, when, which, and how foreign language learner's errors should be corrected; and it also propeses some techiques for error correction.
