인턴상담원이 지각하는 개인상담 수퍼비전에서의 도움 및 아쉬운 경험 = Intern Counselors' Helpful Experience & Regrets in The Individual Counseling Supervision

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 인턴상담원이 지각하는 개인상담 수퍼비전에서 도움 받은 경험과 아쉬웠던 경험을 개념도 연구(concept mapping)을 통해 파악한 것이다. 서울 소재 대학의 학생상담센터와 청소년상담실에서 훈련을 받고 있는 인턴상담원 19명을 대상으로 ‘개인상담 수퍼비전에서의 도움경험과 아쉬웠던 경험’에 대한 면접조사를 통해 얻은 기초자료를 다시 피험자들이 분류 및 평정하였고 이를 토대로 개념도를 작성하였다. 도움경험에서 나타난 6개의 범주는 ‘내담자 이해’, ‘상담에 대한 인식 확장’, ‘자신에 대한 인식 확장’, ‘사례운영방법 학습’, ‘구체적인 지적과 조언’, ‘수퍼바이저의 정서적 지지’였다. 인턴상담원들은 개인상담 수퍼비전에서 크게 ‘내담자와 상담 그리고 자신에 대한 인식 확장 경험’과 ‘실무교육/지식과 정서적 지지’를 경험한 것으로 나타났다. 그 중에서도 가장 도움을 받은 것은 내담자 이해와 상담에 대한 인식 확장이었고, 가장 경험정도가 적었던 것은 수퍼바이저의 정서적 지지였다. 그리고, 아쉬웠던 경험에서 나타난 5개의 범주는 ‘수퍼비전 운영상 문제’, ‘인턴상담원에 대한 배려 부족’, ‘수퍼바이저들의 관점 차이로 인한 혼란’, ‘구체적인 기법 교육 부족’, ‘수퍼바이저의 태도’였다. 이는 크게 수퍼비전의 전체적인 과정(내용과 운영)에서의 아쉬움과 수퍼바이저의 태도와 관계에서의 아쉬움으로 분류되었다. 대학원 과정을 마치고 체계적인 수련을 시작한 인턴상담원의 발달 수준에서 지각된 도움 및 아쉬운 경험의 특징은 실제 수퍼비전 운영에 도움이 될 것으로 보인다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study explored the intern counselors' helpful experiences and regrets in the individual counseling supervision via the concept mapping. 19 intern counselors were interviewed about their helpful experiences and regrets in the individual counseling supervision. Then they themselves sorted and rated their interview contents. For helpful experiences, 6 thematic cluster-map was generated as follows : understanding clients, expanding the awareness of counseling, expanding the awareness of themselves, learning the management skills of the case, pointing-out and the advises in detail, supervisor's emotional support. Intern counselors generally experienced 'the expansion of the clients, counseling and themselves' and 'the knowledge for the counseling practice and the emotional support'. For the regrets, 5 thematic cluster map was generated as follows : ineffective management of supervision session, lack of supervisors' care toward the intern counselors, confusion by the difference of supervisors' perspective, lack of concrete skill training, poor attitude of supervisors. Intern counselors, little more advanced than practicum students, have the unique tension from the confusion between the professional competence and the uncertainty of the future. Therefore, supervisors need to manage the supervision sessions carefully, recognizing these characteristics of intern counselors' developmental stage.
