Political Suggestions for the Improvement of Kindergarten Evaluatio

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is for a discussion regarding the direction to improvement the evaluation of kindergarten successfully. In this research, the current status of the evaluation process and category were informed and the problems showed in the implementation of the evaluation were analyzed in consideration of the suggestive points from international cases like as UK, USA and Australia and the controversial issues suggested by various surveys as well, and finally the directions to enhance the effectiveness of the evaluation of kindergarten were proposed in the following five proposals roughly on the basis of the preceding investigations. First of all, the independent government department only should be able to evaluate kindergarten. Second, quality management of the evaluation categories/items and each city's regional characteristics need to be considered. Third, a in-depth training program for the member of the evaluation committee has to be projected. Fourth, the way to make use of the evaluation result should be discussed in detail. Fifth, the evaluation-supporting system should be established for the efficiency of the evaluation of kindergarten and a new incentive system introduced according to the kindergarten's rating.
