학교 평생교육 활성화 방안 탐색 = A Critical Analysis on Means to Revitalize Lifelong Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 학교 평생교육 활성화 방안을 다각도로 모색하고자 전라남도 13개 학교 현장에서 평생교육 업무를 담당하고 있는 교원들을 대상으로 2010년 9월 30일부터 10월 15일 까지 설문 조사를 진행하였다. 설문 문항에는 학교 평생교육 운영 실태를 파악하고자 하였으며 이를 토대로 학교 평생교육 운영상의 문제점을 분석하고 활성화 방안을 제시하였다. 이 연구를 통해 밝혀진 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교 평생교육을 운영하기 위해서는 학교시설을 학생들과 지역민이 함께 사용할 수 있는 학교 시설 복합화가 필요하다. 둘째, 학교 평생교육의 효과성을 높이기 위해서는 지역교육청, 공공도서관, 주민자치센터 등 평생교육을 담당하는 유관기관과 협조하여 각 기관별 특성화된 프로그램을 특화하여 운영하는 것이 수요자의 선택을 도와주는 일일 뿐만 아니라 참여자 확보에도 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다. 셋째, 학교 평생교육에 대한 다양한 홍보를 통해 학부모뿐만 아니라 지역사회의 주민들이 적극적으로 참여 할 수 있도록 하여야 할 것이다. 향후 내실있는 학교 평생교육 운영은 지역사회 교육력 증진에 크게 기여할 수 있기 때문에 보다 활성화 될 필요가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is aimed at suggesting the right direction in which the lifelong program should follow considering its current situation and problems within arising needs. To activate of the lifelong education in school, it is important that we should know what kinds of the expectations and needs they have, the potential teachers and lecturers in lifelong education, and what kind of attitude do they have on problems and how to solve them. This survey was conducted on teachers and residents who have experience in lifelong learning. Questionnaires were used and collected results were analyzed using the SPSS program. The findings from the study are listed below: Firstly, the downside to the lifelong program is caused by an insufficiency, in both quantity and quality, of the legal and institutional framework and its financial support. This results in a shortage of well-trained technical professionals and a lack of understanding in the residential community. Secondly, in managing lifelong education, various material resources and individuals should be used. Those involved should discuss ways to vitalize the lifelong program with the school as the center of focus. Finally, lifelong education in school must find the following solution: development of customized programs specific to region, construction of a regional network, and security of financial budgeting and human resources.
