This study is to offer the basic information and materials for the restoration of the urban forest and ecologically healthy and continuous green belt through the investigation on the vegetation developing area in Gunsan city. By the Z-M method the plant communities of Jigokdong was recognized: Robinia pseudo-accacia community, Pinus densiflora community, Pinus rigida community, Pinus rigida-Castanea crenata community, Castanea crenata community, Pinus thunbergi community, Miscanthus sinensis community, Miscanthus sinensis-Rosa multiflora community, Rubus crataegifolius community. In case of Susanri plant communities was recognized: Pseudosasa japonica-Quercus acutissima community, Quercus acutissima community, Pinus densiflora-Quercus acutissima community, Pinus densiflora community. And the plant communities investigated in Ogokri was recognized: Quercus acutissima community, Robinia pseudo-accacia-Pinus densiflora community, Pinus densiflora community, Pinus densiflora-Pinus rigida community, Pinus rigida-Pinus thunbergii community.
