그림책을 활용한 정서표현증진 프로그램이 문제음주자 학령기자녀의 스트레스대처능력 및 정서표현능력에 미치는 효과 = The Effects of Emotional Expression Improvement Program Using Picture Book on School-Aged Children of Problem Drinkers

The purpose of this study was to evaluate effects of an emotional expression improvement program using picture book on stress coping and emotional expression for children of alcoholics. The participants were children of alcoholics on 3 community children welfare center in G city. The experimental group received the an emotional expression improvement program using picture-books, and the control group received the program after the experiment. Data were collected during December 1st, 2012 and January 25th, 2013 through self-administered questionnaires at two times: prior to the intervention and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using chi-square test, t-test and ANCOVA. After the intervention, children of alcoholics in the experimental group reported significant differences in stress coping (F=6.966, p=0.011), emotional expression (F=16.781, p<0.001), compared to the control group. These results indicate that an emotional expression program using picture-books for children of alcoholics is effective in improving stress coping and emotional expression.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 문제음주자의 학령기자녀에게 그림책을 활용한 정서표현증진 프로그램을 실시하여 스트레스대처 및 정서표현능력에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위하여 실시되었다. 연구대상자는 G시에 위치한 지역아동센터 3곳에 등록된 사례관리 대상 아동 중 학령기에 속하는 초등학교 저학년 학생을 대상으로 하였다. 연구대상자 선정은 한국형 알코올중독자녀 선별검사를 실시하여 6점 이상에 해당되는 문제음주자 자녀를 선별하였으며, 그림책을 활용한 정서표현증진 프로그램은 2012년 12월 1일부터 2013년 1월 25일까지 세 집단으로 나누어 각 집단별로 7-8명의 아동을 구분하여 총 23명을 대상으로 매 주 1회기 90분으로 6회기를 진행하였다. 그림책을 활용한 정서표현증진 프로그램의 효과를 확인하기 위하여 실험군과 대조군의 스트레스대처능력 및 정서표현능력의 차이를 공변량분석(ANCOVA)으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 그림책을 활용한 정서표현증진 프로그램에 참여한 실험군은 참여하지 않은 대조군에 비하여 스트레스대처능력(F=6.966, p=0.011) 및 정서표현능력(F=16.781, p<0.001)이 통계적으로 유의하게 증가된 것으로 확인되었다. 알코올중독 및 결손가정 자녀의 정서행동문제를 예방을 위하여 학령기 아동의 발달특성을 고려하여 그림책을 활용하는 것은 아동의 정서표현증진에 효과적으로 적용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
