지원논문 : 다수자를 위한 다문화교육프로그램에 대한 다문화가정자녀의 인식연구 = The Recognition of Children of Multicultural Family who experienced the Multicultural Education for Korean Students in the Classroom

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This work analyzes that the multicultural education for Korean student in classroom whether to improve their discriminate and biased thinking against children of multicultural family or not. This is case study that have been carried by participant researching and interviewing with children of multicutural family. And this work argues about the strong point and shortcoming of this education and makes a counterproposal to change and reconstruct of that on the view of children of multicultural family. There are four shortcoming in this education. Firstly the confusion of education between language course and cultural studies. Secondly the education sometimes have not the multi-cutural understanding for the concerned students from multicultural family, so that it could not be change the minds of majority students and help them to improve the relationship between each other. Thirdly this education open times only include the cultural understanding so that it will be Korean students regard them as major group and regard multicultral students as minority group rather than inter-esteem each other by understanding cultural difference and diversity. And lastly this education is so temporary that cannot be continue. But we can find strong points in aspects of this education. Firstly there are good chance to some students who live in low class and with only grandmother or grandfather without their parents and have no experiences traveling different country. Secondly some multicultral education include the concepts of race, gender, class so that it can be understand discrimination and human rights. Thirdly some lecture who teaching the multi- culture in classroom have meeting and criticizing their text each other so that they can revise and improve their text. According to this analysis I want to suggest the alternative proposal. Firstly the multicultural education must need the continuance and upgrading of quality and level. Secondly this education should be cover understanding the other and mutual respect to improve relationship between korean students and children of multicultural family and also contain anti-discrimination against race, gender, class, disable, sexual orientation etc. And lastly this multicultural education need reforming the educational and training system teaching program for school teacher.
