정신장애인의 직업유지기간에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Factors affecting on the Duration of job maintenance for People with Psychiatric Disabilities

This study is an inquiring research on the factors affecting on the duration of job maintenance of individual with People with Psychiatric Disabilities. This study calculated the total duration of the job maintenance of past two years. It is a representative indicator used frequently to evaluate the effectiveness of vocational rehabilitation of People with Psychiatric Disabilities. The predictors affecting the duration of job maintenance are classified with demographic characteristics, individual characteristics, psychological factors and socio-environmental factors.
The main results of analysis of the data are as followed.
1. The age of demographic characteristics has meaningful relations with the increase of the duration of job maintenance with People with Psychiatric Disabilities.
2. Premorbid job history and GAF of individual characteristics have meaningful relations with the increase of the duration of job maintenance with People with Psychiatric Disabilities
3. Self-efficacy, especially self-control efficacy of psychological factors have meaningful relations with the increase of the duration of job maintenance with People with Psychiatric Disabilities.
4. The work environment satisfaction of socio-environmental factors has meaningful relations with the increase of the duration of job maintenance with People with Psychiatric Disabilities.
5. With regard to the overall influence on demographic, individual characteristics, psychological & socio-environmental factors on the duration of job maintenance, the age, past job history, work environment satisfaction & special person's support are the most influential variables explaining the duration of job maintenance with People with Psychiatric Disabilities.
The following suggestions can be proposed to improve vocational rehabilitation outcome for People with Psychiatric Disabilities:
First, vocational rehabilitation service should focus on work environment satisfaction in socio-environmental factors more than all the others. Work environment satisfaction is composed of physical environment, welfare privilege, employer & peer employee support in this study. Until now vocational rehabilitation service has focused on internal education program for People with Psychiatric Disabilitles. But from now on it need to focus on external environment, namely vocational rehabilitation service need gathering of work place information, welfare level, education program for employers & peers and active advocacy.
Second, following things should be included in future vocational rehabilitation program; coping skill to expecting troubles, training personally tailored program which can make them experiencesucess.
Third, managing their psychiatric symptom, psychological, social & vocational function through case management will be required in vocational rehabilitation service.
Last, attention should be focused on the first & the sixth month when most of drop-outs occur, In this period, more intensive case-management can help this problem to be solved.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 정신장애인의 직업유지기간에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 연구방법은 서울·경인지역의 사회복귀시설과 정신보건센터, 정신과외래 서비스를 이용중인 정신장애인을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 직업유지기간은 정신장애인의 직업재활 성과를 측정하는 대표적인 지표로 본 연구에서는 조사대상자의 지난 2년 동안의 취업일수를 측정하였다. 직업유지기간을 예측하는 요인으로는 인구학적 요인, 개인특성 요인, 심리적 요인, 사회·환경적 요인 등으로 나누어 살펴보았다.
조사결과, 인구학적 요인 중 연령에 따라 정신장애인의 직업유지기간이 길어짐을 알 수 있었다. 개인특성요인 중 병전직업력이 있고, 일반적 기능수준이 높으면 직업유지기간이 길어짐을 알 수 있었다. 심리적 요인 중 자기효능감, 자기조절효능감이 높을수록 직업유지기간이 길어짐을 알 수 있었다. 사회·환경적 요인 중 작업환경만족도가 높을수록 직업유지기간이 길어짐을 알 수 있었다. 인구사회학적 요인, 개인적 특성요인, 심리적, 사회·환경적 요인이 종합적으로 정신장애인의 직업유지기간에 미치는 영향을 알아 본 결과 연령, 병전직업력, 작업환경만족도, 특별한 사람의 지지가 정신장애인의 직업유지기간을 가장 잘 설명하는 주요변수로 나타났다. 본 연구는 이러한 실증적 분석을 통하여 향후 정신장애인 직업재활서비스방안에 대하여 논의하였다.
