국가경쟁력강화를 위한 수도권과 비수도권의 공동발전 방안 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A study was conducted on symbiotic relationships between the Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA) and other regions of Korea(the Capital Region and the Non-Capital Region).
For environment-friendly land development, the government also plans to conduct a large-scale nationwide survey of land aptitude to exempt areas deemed worth preserving from development.
Growth management planning, in all its varied forms, basically involves using government regulatory powers in a comprehensive, rational, coordinated manner to meet public objectives for balance economic growth with the protection and preservation of our natural and manmade systems.
High-rise apartment buildings have sprung up there and most of the apartments are occupied by people from Seoul and other areas. During rush hour, traffic around the housing development area is congested with commuters going to or returning from work.
Successful growth management also requires coordination among Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA) and other regions of Korea. As growth problems, such as pollution, mass transit, and siting locally unwanted land uses(LULUS), spill over municipal boundaries into suburban and even exurban areas, local government must cooperate to resolve these issues and also involve higher(Gyeonggi-Province and other regions of Korea) level of government.
