국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구목적
본 연구의 목적은 외부 평가상황에서 자신의 심리적 문제에 대한 기독교 목회자들의 자기보고 경향성을 MMPI 타당도 척도를 통해 탐색하는 것이다.
방 법
목사 초기 심사과정에 있는 기독교 목회자 중 정신과적인 문제를 선별하기 위해 정신과를 방문한 남성 23명의 MMPI 타당도 척도와 입사상황에서 이루어진 일반 남성 23명의 MMPI 타당도 척도의 차이를 t-검증하였고 이들 46명의 자료를 타당도 척도의 형태에 따라 군집분석하였다.
결 과
두 집단 간에 타당도 척도의 차이는 유의하지 않았다. 전체 군집분석 결과, L 척도와 K 척도 상에서의 유의미하게 다른 총 4개의 군집이 도출되었다. 두 집단의 군집 분포 간에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 목회자들이 가장 많이 분류된 군집 4는 자신을 긍정적 으로 보고하는 자기 방어적 경향을 시사하는 것으로 전체 목회자들의 평균 프로파일과 유사하였다. 군집 2는 지나치게 단순하고 자기 방어적인 경향 또는 도덕적, 이상적 가치를 지향하는 경향을 시사하지만 그 차이를 가려내기는 곤란하였다. 군집 3은 형태면 에서 나머지 군집과 크게 다른 군집으로 성숙한 자기 보고경향을 시사하는 프로파일이었다.
결 론
목회자들 역시 외부 평가상황에서 자신의 심리적 문제를 보고할 때 일반인들과 유사하게 자신을 사회적으로 바람직하게 즉, 자기 방어적으로 보고하는 경향이 시사된다. 하지만 일부 목회자들은 지나치게 단순하고 경직된 방어경향 또는 성숙한 자기보고 경향을 나타내기도 하였다. 따라서 목회자들은 외부 평가상황에서 자신의 심리적 문제에 대해 다양한 자기 보고경향성을 가진다는 점이 시사된다.

Objectives：The purpose of this study was to explore ministers’ self-report tendency about their psychological symptoms using MMPI validity scales in external evaluation situation.
Methods：Independent sample t-test was used to examine the difference in MMPI validity scales between ministers’ group(N=23) and control group(N=23). MMPI validity scales’ profiles(N=46) were analyzed with cluster analysis.
Results：MMPI validity scales were no significant difference between two group. MMPI validity scales’ profiles were classified into 4 significant clusters(on L and K scale). Cross distribution of clusters and two group was not significant statistically. Cluster 4 profile was similar to mean profile of ministers and contained highest portion of ministers. Especially, cluster 2 suggested that one has a naively and rigidly defensive tendency or moral and ideal value. But it is difficult to distinguish defensiveness and idealistic orientation. Cluster 3, unusual type relative to other clusters, contained lowest portion of total subjects. This cluster suggested that one has a mature tendency to self-perception.
Conclusion：Ministers have a defensive tendency to report their psychological symptoms as much as most people do. However, there is naively defensive type or ideal orientation type and there is matured self-report types, balanced self-disclosure and control. These results suggested that ministers have various self-report tendency to psychological symptoms in external evaluation situation.
