인문,사회과학편 : 지각된 건강인식과 성별에 따른 건강행동과 음주거절효능감 = Effects of Self-Perceived Health Status and Gender on Health Related Behaviors and Drinking Refusal Self-Efficacy

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the association of self-perceived health status with health related behaviors(physical activity and drinking behavior) and drinking refusal self-efficacy, and if it differs by the level of perceived health status and gender. A total of 560 university students(males 52.7%) completed questionnaires to assess self-perceived health status, drinking behavior, drinking refusal self-efficacy, and physical activity. The data analysis was conducted using correlations, Chi-square analysis, multiple regression, and two-way ANOVA with SPSS 20.0. Results revealed that students showing higher physical activity level reported good health status, and male students reporting bad health status showed higher drinking behavior. Higher drinking refusal self-efficacy(DRSE) under social pressure and opportunistic DRSE were negatively related with drinking behavior regardless of gender. The results suggest that participants in physical activity appear to have good perceived health status, and improved DRSE may help to control problematic drinking behavior. This is the first study to examine self-perceived health status and gender difference in drinking behavior, DRSE, and physical activity. The findings add to our understanding of drinking behavior and to have the potential to influence the development of better prevention programs for problematic heavy drinkers.
