특질 불안 경향자의 위협자극에 대한 주의편향 연구: 안구운동 추적장비를 이용하여 = Attentional Bias for Threat Stimuli in High-Trait Anxious Individuals: Using Eye-Tracker

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 불안 경향자의 인지적 주의처리과정의 하나인 ‘경계-회피 가설(vigilance-avoidance hypothesis)’에 근거하여 정서적 각성을 유발하는 동영상 시청 후, 특질 불안 수준이 높은 사람이 위협관련 자극에 대해 보이는 주의편향의 특성을 안구운동 추적장비를 이용하여 확인하는데 있다. 이를 위해, 29명의 여자 대학생(고 특질 불안집단 14명, 저 특질 불안집단 15명)을 대상으로 각성을 유발하는 외상사건(화재 사고) 동영상을 시청하도록 한 후, 안구운동 추적장비를 이용하여 위협과 중립 사진자극에 대한 주의편향의 양상을 측정하였다. 각성을 유발하는 동영상의 시청효과를 검증하기 위해 생리적 지표로 심박률과 자기보고식 측정도구 VAS를 이용하여 주관적인 정서변화를 함께 측정하였다. 연구 결과, 고 특질 불안집단의 경우, 최초 안구운동의 응시방향이 위협자극을 향함으로써 자동적으로 더 빠르게 위협 자극을 탐지하였으나, 자극제시 시간이 길어질 경우 위협 자극에 대한 응시시간이 중립 자극에 머무르는 시간보다 짧은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과를 통해 특질 불안 경향자가 일상생활 속에서 각성을 유발하는 외상 사건을 경험할 경우, 외상과 관련된 위협 자극을 더 빠르게 탐지하고 경계하는 자동적인 주의기제와 오랜 시간 위협 자극에 노출될 경우, 위협자극을 회피하려는 전략적인 주의기제를 모두 사용하고 있음을 시사해준다.
