인지적 진로 집단 상담 프로그램이 자아개념과 진로결정수준에 미치는 효과 연구 = The Effects of College Students' Cognitive Career Group Counseling on Self- Concept and Career Decision Levels

The purpose of this study is to discover the effects of group career counseling based on Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. The assumption of this research is that REBT will enhance Self Concept and Career Decision Making Patterns of which are core variables of career development.For this study, one experimental group and one control groups, composed of 24 students in total, were organized and treatment was conducted on these groups. The experimental group, composed of 12 college students, attended group career counseling based on Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. Control group composed of 12 college students, received a doctrine studying. Treatment lasted for an eight-week period. In each week, a two-hour-long session was conducted. These groups turned out to be homogeneous by t-test pretesting. Scale of Self Concept and Career Decision Making Patterns scale were the instruments used to measure the effects of the treatment. The experimental group showed significant differences statistically compared with control group in Self Concept and Career Decision Making Patterns.These results imply that group career counseling based on REBT enhances the ability of Self Concept and Career Decision Making Patterns which are major factors in career development.
