교류분석 상담자의 전문성 발달에 관한 연구 = A Study on the development of expertise of TA(Transactional Analysis) Counselor

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 교류분석 상담분야에서 오랜 경험과 풍부한 지식을 가진 전문가들의 특성과 발달과정 그리고 발달에 영향을 준 요인들이 무엇인지를 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자 선정을 위해 목적표집(purposeful sampling)방법을 활용 하여 총 4명의 연구 참여자를 선정하였다. 연구 참여자와의 면담을 원활히 수행하기 위해 면담 흐름표를 활용하여 개별면담을 실시하였으며, Padgett(1998)이 제안한 분석 방법에 따라 수집된 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 연구 참여자들은 이론적 개념들의 단순성과 명확성, 그리고 관찰 가능한 의식적 행동에 초점을 맞추는 상담전략을 교류분석 상담자의 고유한 특성으로 보고 있었다. 그리고 이들은 전문가와 초보자의 차이를 교류분석이론에 대한 통합적 이해와 적용가능성으로 구분하고 있었다. 특히 연구 참여자들은 모두 ‘윤리의식’의 중요성을 강조하고 있었다. 둘째, 교류분석 상담 전문가의 발달과정을 분석한 결과 Brabender(2010)가 제시한 상담자의 발달단계와 유사한 형태를 보였다. 교류분석 상담자의 발달단계는 TA상담 이론과의 긍정적 만남단계, 새로운 이론에 대한 훈련단계, 초보 상담자로서의 활동단계, TA상담 능력이 향상되는 단계, 전문성을 유지하기 위해 노력하는 단계로 구분되었다. 셋째, 전문성 발달에 영향을 준 요인은 TA이론에 대한 관심, 동료집단의 지지와 격려, 지속적인 슈퍼비전인 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study has a purpose to explore the characteristics, developmental process and factors to affect developmental process of TA counseling experts. The purposeful sampling method was used to select study participants. Total 4 study participants were selected based on this sampling method. Individual interview data was analyzed by Qualitative Analysis(Padgett, 1998). Main analysis results are like as follows. First, the study participants tend to regard simplicity, clarity and counseling strategy focusing on observable conscious behavior as distinctive characteristics of the TA counselor. Additionally, the difference between novices and experts were distinguished by integrated understanding and applicability. Especially, all of the study participants emphasized the importance of the sense of ethics. Second, developmental process of the TA counseling expert appeared as similar form with Brabender(2010)'s developmental stages. This developmental stages of TA counselor were comprised of 5 stages. This was included in ‘stage of positive meeting with TA counseling theory,’ ‘stage of training about the new theory,’ ‘stage of activities as beginning counselor,’ ‘stage of improving TA counseling ability,’ and ‘stage of effort for maintaining expertise.’ Third, factors influencing the development of expertise appeared as constant interest in TA theory, support and encouragement from the peer group, and continuous supervision.
