방과후 스포츠 활동의 의의와 정착을 위한 실천과제 = The Significance and Application of Advanced Intramurals Sport

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims on proposing policy to search meaning of intramurals and state the reality and problems of intramurals and physical education at schools. It is time to consider the theological problems of why intramurals are necessary, and in what direction and method the policy of advanced intramurals are to be settled. Intramurals mean sports activity in the form of games performed with general students using time other than regular class hours of schools. However, the reality is that intramurals performed with general students are unsystematic in any schools, due to lack of recognition for intramurals, and systematic and policy consideration by schools for investment from excessive interest for opposing games. It is thought that sports events performed sporadically in each school, in other words field days are substitutes for them. Therefore, the goals of intramurals activity should be set and the activity should be progressed in form of games as policy tasks in intramurals. Moreover, management system, selection of games, activity locations and ways of using facilities, management personnel, how to take care of damages, and roles of physical education teachers should be considered for intramurals.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

‘전인교육’이란 우리나라의 교육목표는 사회환경의 변화 속에서 위기에 처해 있으며, 입시에 유리하게 작용되는 교과목만 집중하면 모든 것이 해결된다는 식의 가치인식이 팽배해 있다. 그리하여 현대사회는 청소년의 욕구와 흥미에 맞는 여가프로그램을 개발하고 참여를 유도함으로써 건전한 청소년의 육성을 위한 여가문화를 정착시킬 필요가 있다. 최근 학교체육정책은 방과후스포츠활동을 권장하고 있으나 아직까지 그에 대한 프로그램의 개발이나 경제성 및 효율성 등 제반적인 문제에 대해서는 합리적인 방안이 제시되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 방과후스포츠활동은 왜 필요하며, 선진국형 방과후스포츠활동의 실천과제는 어떠한 방향과 방식으로 설정할 것인가 하는 원론적인 문제를 생각해 볼 때가 된 것이다. 따라서 이 연구는 학교체육과 방과후스포츠활동의 실태와 문제점을 개진해보고 방과후스포츠활동의 의의와 실천과제를 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 방과후스포츠활동의 실천과제로서 방과후스포츠활동의 목표정립과 활동방식이 경기형태로 진행되어야함이 중요한 요인으로 논의되었다. 또한 방과후스포츠활동의 운영방법, 종목선정, 활동장소 및 시설이용 방법, 운영요원, 경비문제, 상해발생 시 처리문제, 체육교사의 역할 등이 방과후스포츠활동의 근본취지에 맞도록 고려되는 방안도 제시되었다.
