      In this paper, we analyzed process of semiconductor assembly and test manufacturing factory and studied the possibilities of RFID adoption in order to address process issues and to improve manufacturing performance. Here, we focus on the backend process of semiconductor manufacturing. Generally backend process consists of assembly, test and packaging. In this research, we analyzed methods of process management and of information management in a semiconductor manufacturing company in Korea and suggest an introduction of RFID to address issues of information collection which cause negative impact on throughput and mean cycle time.

Here, we focus on the backend process of semiconductor manufacturing. Generally backend process consists of assembly, test and packaging.
