〈내 이름은 김삼순〉에 대한 수용자의 현실적 공감과 즐거움에 대한 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined the essential elements of the audience's pleasure, which results from watching the popular television drama 〈My Name Is Kim Sam-soon〉. With 53% of an audience rating at the end of the series, 〈My Name Is...〉 recorded one of the most successful television drama series in 2005. The researcher was basically interested in the elements that enabled this drama to be successful commercially. In order to find the answers to the question, the researcher analyzed college students' reaction papers on the drama, which summarized their impressions based on their watching experience. The most effective element of the audience's pleasure was the television drama reality. The audiences got the realism on the main female character 'Sam-Soon,' the story flow and the various realistic episodes. It was very interesting that, contrast to the general judgement, the audiences tended to feel 'realism' more strongly than 'resistance against the patriarchal ideology' in 'Sam-soon' character. Conclusively, the researcher found that those who were impressed with 'resistance' in Sam-soon's character were not the real audiences, but the drama producers and the mass culture scholars.
