브라질 볼소나로정부의 외교정책: 창조적 파괴인가 파괴적 창조인가? = Brazilian Diplomacy under Bolsonaro Government: Creative destruction or destructive creation?

Eight presidents have formed the government until now in the Brazil's Sixth Republic, which was launched after the democratic recovery in 1985. According to the political tendencies of the governments, on right side, Fernando Collor (PRN) of the center-right, Sarney (PMDB), Itamar Franco (PMDB), Michelle Themer (PMDB) of the center or center-right , and Jair Bolsonaro (PSL) of the far right; and on left side, the center or center-left being the Henrique Cardoso (PSDB), the center-left or the left being Luis Inacio Lula (PT) and Dilma Housseff (PT). This paper confirms that the foreign policy of the Jair Bolsonaro government is an extension of the right-wing foreign policy initiated by the Michelle Temer government and examines the characteristics of the foreign policy. The foreign policy of Temer also adheres to the principle of balanced neutral diplomacy established since Rio Branco, but the Bolsonaro's foreign policy introduces a Brazil-first diplomacy based on the superiority of Western civilization. This paper intends to examine the background, content, and problems of the Brazil-first diplomacy based on Western civilization superiority.
