다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

I intend in this talk to deal very briefly with the problem of the transfer of science and technology from one culture to another. Keeping in mind that the subject is a very broad one and worth considerable amount of research and worthy of a full-scale convention, I intend here to emphasize an outline of a few points which are important for my perception of the problem. This prelude to the broad perspective hopefully would generate in depth discussion on multivarious aspects of this complex problem.
Although many speakers of the committee on physical sciences used “science” and “technology” synonymously, 'I would like to draw a distinction between these two concepts simply because the concept of 'knowledge' is not restricted to the physical sciences alone but encompasses almost all areas of human endeavors such as the social sciences, the life sciences etc. In fact, if science and technology should be synonymous, we do not need a conference on the unity of sciences discussing diverse areas of knowledge. To me the key purpose of a conference on the unity of science is to bring together knowledge and experiences acquired in different fields and try to evolve a synthesis of these or to search for underlying common themes of these divergent endeavors.
