'소규모 지역'에 있어서 지역 정체성의 재현과 지역지의 서술 체제에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 ‘소규모 지역의 지역 정체성은 왜 부상하며 어떻게 재현할 것인가’를 이론적으로 논의한다. 이를 바탕으로 ‘기존 지역지의 체제와 내용을 비판적으로 진단하고 그 대안적 체제와 내용을 모색하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 먼저 최근 들어 소지역 단위의 지역지 발간이 급증하게 된 맥락을 세계화, 지방화, 정체성의 재현이라는 세 가지 면에서 살펴보았다. 다음으로 경기도 소재 시․군 지역을 사례로 지역지의 발간 주체와 현황, 체제상의 특징과 주요 내용 요소를 검토하고, 체제상의 특징에 근거하여 지역지의 유형을 세 가지로 정리하였다. 끝으로 많은 지역지들이 공통적으로 다루고 있는 대주제와 내용 요소들을 추출하고 기존 지역지 체제의 한계를 보완하기 위한 몇 가지 고려 사항을 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study reviews many theories which deal with the regional identities of local scale regions and the representation of identity. On the basis of this review, the author tries to criticize the existing regional geographies on local scale region and searches for a soluton to their limits and problems. For this purpose, this study investigates the context of recently rapid increase of regional geographies publication in terms of globalization, localization, representation of identity. And, the author analyzes publishers of regional geographies, characteristics of composition, and concrete content elements in case of local scale regions in Gyeonggi Province, and divides regional geographies into three types. Finally, the author extracts general themes and content elements amomg various regional geographies, and then makes several proposals to future improvements of the composition of regional geographies.
