흄의 정치철학의 성격을 통해 조명한 왈저의 공동체주의

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 왈저의 공동체주의가 지니는 현실주의적 성격을 흄의 정치철학에 연결시켜 조명하는 것이다.
이런 목적을 위해 이 연구는 첫째, 흄의 정치철학을 분석하고, 그의 정치철학이 칸트의 정치철학과 달리 자연주의적이고, 현실주의적이라는 점을 밝힌다. 둘째, 흄의 이러한 자연주의적이고 현실주의적인 정치철학은 현대 정치철학에서의 공동체주의의 특징들을 공유한다는 점을 밝힌다. 셋째, 앞서 밝힌 흄의 정치철학의 특징을 통해 왈저의 정치철학이 가진 현실주의적 특징을 선명하게 드러낸다. 넷째, 왈저와 흄의 정치철학이 공유한 공동체주의적 특징들의 지니는 보수주의적 함축을 밝히고, 이런 함축은 결국 그들의 공동체주의적 정치철학이 가진 현실주의적 특징 때문이라는 점을 밝히는 것을 결론으로 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to suggest and clarify Walzer's realistic conception of political philosophy in light of Hume's political philosophy.
To this purpose, first, I analyse Hum's political philosophy and show that his political philosophy is naturalistic and realistic, in contrast to Kant's. Second, I show that his political philosophy share in contemporary communitarianism in regard to its rejection of Kant's moral philosophy. Third, I clarify the characteristics of Walzer's political philosophy, that is, realism, through the analysis of Hume's naturalistic and realistic politics. At last, I point out the resource of conservatism of communitarianism, and conclude that it is due to realism shared by Hume and Walzer.
