The contextual connective endings are commonly used in daily life, as well in Korean teaching, appear right from the elementary level. There are many Korean expressions that express the context of sentences, categorized by low to high complexity. Although these structures are relatively simple, they have some features that can cause learners to be confused or use them in the wrong situations. The scope of this article is to consider only two contextual connective endings in Korean at the elementary-intermediate level: “-는데, -던데, -(으)니까”. In the article, the researcher analyzed errors when using connective endings to indicate the context of Vietnamese learners with diverse characteristics in terms of education level and age, thereby explaining the cause and suggesting some methods of limiting and correcting errors.
