BPM을 통한 비즈니스 프로세스 표준화 및 활용 방안에 관한 연구 = (A) Study on Business Process Standardization and Application using BPM

Due to the characteristics of BPM, the deep understanding is needed for business process and process management, so there would be several problems unpredicted when BPM is introduced in a hasty manner. In order to carry out process management effectively with the introduction of BPM, the following four things are prepared. First, the right understanding of business process and BPM is needed. Secondly, business process should be set with BPM and the definite objective and policies are necessary. Thirdly, a roadmap should be drew for the effective accomplishment of process management and a methodology flexible as well as elaborate is applied. Especially, process management roadmap should reflect the characteristics of business and culture of the firm. Fourthly, enough cases which BPM has been applied to firms should be studied.
The objective of this research is to suggest standardization methods of business process and concrete ways to use practically BPM, which enable us to respond flexibly and quickly to the rapidly changing business environment and customers' needs. In this research, I first illuminate how firms should have an access to business process through the various definitions and time-series access of business process. Secondly, I show the standardization methods of business process that is the first stage of process management. Thirdly, I review BPM that is considered to decrease the gap between business and IT and be helpful for the effective process business, and then I suggest basic principles needed for the introduction and practical use of BPM. Lastly, I introduce the main application ways of BPM, being based on some cases.
