지방자치단체의 대학 연구개발 지원규모 결정요인 분석 = 광역자치단체를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 대학이 국가 경쟁력과 지역경쟁력 제고를 위한 핵심 요소라는 인식 하에, 광역자치단체를 대상으로 대학에 대한 연구개발 지원규모 결정요인을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 문헌 검토를 통해 대학에 대한 자치단체의 재정지원 결정요인을 사회･경제 요인, 정치 요인, 문화 요인, 재정력 요인, 자원 간 경쟁요인으로 구분하여 제시하였으며, 각각의 요인들을 중심으로 광역자치단체 별 패널데이터를 구축해 실증분석을 수행하였다.분석결과를 간략히 요약하면, 자치단체의 대학 연구개발 지원규모에는 ①사회경제적 요인 중에서는 인구변수가 양(+)의 관계를, ②정치 요인에서는 연도 변수가 음(-)의 관계를, ③재정력 요인에서는 재정 자립도와 1인당 지자체 총예산 변수가 각각 양(+)의 관계를, ④자원 간 경쟁요인에서는 1인당 중앙 정부 R&D 규모가 양(+)의 관계를 갖고 있는 것으로 분석되었다.
